CHANCEY WILLIAMS AND THE YOUNGER BROTHERS BAND

THURS 3/16 @ 9PM
FRI 3/17 - SAT 3/18 @ 9PM

Chancey and his drummer, lifelong friend Travis DeWitt, started the Younger Brothers Band with the humble, initial goal of entering a high school talent contest. The pair had no idea it would lead to wedding receptions, small fairs (then big fairs), small bars (then large clubs) and become a full-time career. In 2008 they were joined by the amazing vocals and lead guitar of Wyatt Springsteen; and Brooke Latka added a stunning fiddle and a third part to their harmonies. More recently, Jack Robbins joined the band on bass. The result is Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band, a rowdy, raucous, unapologetic, memorable stage show that is on the road almost all the time. Somewhere along the way, playing for friends became playing for wild fans. The studio album, Honky Tonk Road, was released in 2008, Highway Junkie in 2011, and the Billboard Heatseeker Charting, Echo in 2013. Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers have sold, between digital downloads and CD sales, more than 40,000 records, almost unheard of for an independent artist without the aid of a major record label.

102.7 The Coyote and Gilley’s Las Vegas present a listener appreciation event featuring Trent Harmon on Monday, March 27! Trent Harmon holds the reigning title as American Idol. The Season XV victor originally hails from East Mississippi and immersed himself in music from an early age. From singing “Amazing Grace” with his family to starring in various musicals in college, Trent credits life on his family’s farm as a major influence on his music career. Less than one week after taking the title during the final season of American Idol, Trent entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, earning him a “hot shot debut” with coronation song “Falling," which was written by Idol judge Keith Urban along with celebrated songwriters Dallas Davidson and Brett James. Already in the studio, the 25-year-old musician is eager to begin recording his self-described “Country-soul” album and recently released his debut single “There’s A Girl” on FOX & Friends’ Summer Concert Series. Critics raved week-after-week following each of Trent’s “vocally gifted” (LA Times) performances as he covered hits by Justin Timberlake, Sia, Parsan James, Percy Sledge and more. SAM RIDDLE

WED 3/29 @ 9PM

It’s the road that one takes that holds the stories that they tell, and Sam Riddle has taken his own way. It’s not by accident that a one-time basketball star is one of the best performers to step on the country music scene. Musical talent also happens to run in Sam’s family. His father was a founding member of Montana’s well known Mission Mountain Wood Band; Sam’s uncle was a world class Broadway composer. From the word go, Sam lived the musician’s life, eating and breathing music, learning the nuances of showmanship that would one day be his trademark. Sam became known for his electric, crowd-stirring performances. After two years, the irrepressible, irrefutable natural talent was ready to take the next step, and fate intervened when Sam met producer, Stoll Vaughan. Sam put pen to paper, lyric to melody. What emerged taps into his varied influences, blending Montana country roots with New York showmanship. Sam calls on all that he’s experienced on the road, on the court, on stages from coast-to-coast, and recounts everything from emotional highs to desperate lows to create music that lays his soul bare. As a result, his music has a depth that had to be earned, taps a pulse that only an ace performer can find. It’s the music of a fast-tracked guy who took the long road, and a sound that will take Sam Riddle a long way.
